The life of the founder of the Benedictine Abbey of Solesmes in France - while Guéranger (1805-1875) published many liturgical and spiritual works, this highly personal account of his early life and events surrounding the foundation of Solesmes in 1833 was never intended for publication, remaining in the archives of the Abbey for well over a hundred years.
